New spectrum security technology partnership for DEWC Services

South Australian-based electronic warfare expert DEWC Services has forged a partnership with global technology and engineering leader KBR to meet the unique challenges of the modern battlefield.

The agreement will enable the two companies to share skills and experience to address some of the evolving electronic spectrum challenges currently faced by the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

CEO of DEWC Alan Dundas said the partnership is in line with DEWC’s objective to support Defence via a range of mission-critical activities within Command Control, Communications and Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare (C4ISREW).

“Working together, I believe that both DEWC and KBR can build upon our shared experience, helping increase mission success and ensure our war fighters can operate safely and effectively,” said Alan.

KBR’s global enterprise has leading edge space and related capabilities including satellite, ground systems, space communications, and mission operations support across NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Nic Maan, Vice President of Government Solutions APAC at KBR added that this history in space and spectrum management, protection and assurance from the US will enable knowledge transfer to Australian businesses in collaboration with DEWC.

“We are very keen to get ahead of the curve in meeting the nation’s defence and security ambitions and we see enormous potential in our two companies working together,” said Nic.

Based at Mawson Lakes, DEWC Services is a C4ISREW business that supports the Department of Defence and related organisations in the areas of capability development, science and technology research, and operational support.

KBR delivers science, technology and engineering solutions to governments and companies around the world. KBR employs approximately 33,000 people performing diverse, complex and mission-critical roles in 33 countries.
